API 2H Grade 42 is a carbon manganese steel plate for offshore platform tubular joints and welded construction of offshore structures. API means the American petroleum institute.
All of steel grade in API 2H Grade 42 need be normalized. The max CEQ should be 0.43-0.45% in usual. Grade 42 shall be marked API 2H-42 or API 2H-42N
