ASTM A387 steel plate is chromium-molybdenum steel for pressure vessels for elevated temperature service. ASTM A387 steel plate include ASTM A387 Grade 5, Grade 9, Grade 11, Grade 12, Grade 22. Each A387 grade is divided into 2 class: class 1 and class 2.

ASTM A387 steel plate is applied in temperature range of 316℃ to 593℃. The different grades level of ASTM A387 steel plate is classified by chromium and molybdenum content. A387 Grade 5 and Grade 9 Steel plates have good corrosion and heat resistance and usually used in sour oil gas industry. A387 Grade 11 and Grade 12 Steel plates have similar chemical contents. They can be used in welded pressure vessels and industrial boilers, and mostly in oil gas and petrochemical industry for transportion of medium at high temperature.
