Correct welding method for EN10297-1 34CrMo4 alloy tube

There are many defects in the welding process of EN10297-1 34CrMo4 alloy tube, such as inclusion, bubble, burning, and so on. Only a standard welding process can be used to prevent it. The following is a small compilation to explain the correct welding process of EN10297-1 34CrMo4 alloy tube.

Welding EN10297-1 34CrMo4 alloy tube first need to clean up the oil, paint, water, rust, etc.  And then open the groove according to the wall thickness, which should be open a little bigger for thicker wall 34CrMo4 steel tube , and smaller for thiner one. And the matter then is the butt gap, usually it is the 1- 1.5 times of welding rod or wire diameter. If the groove is open bigger,   the butt gap can be properly kept small. Spot welding is at least three points, generally four is better.

When welding EN10297-1 34CrMo4 alloy tube, it should be welded in half and half. The starting point is best to exceed the lowest point about a centimeter. If the 34CrMo4 steel tube wall is thick, it should be stratified, at least two layers, the second layers can only be welded only after the whole first layer welding is finished.
