EN10028-2 16Mo3 chromium molybdenum alloy steel plates usually work in high temperature working environment. 16Mo3 vessel steel plates are used for the manufacture of industrial boilers and also used as welding steel for stainless steel pressure vessels in oil and natural gas as well as chemical industry.

EN10028-2 16Mo3 chromium molybdenum alloy steel plates are different from other raw materials in the welding. For 16Mo3 vessel steel, they need preheating for welding. And the welding seam should maintain temperature for 30 minutes or so after welding. The manganese is an important alloying element in 16Mo3 steel. Mn is insulation steel element, and it makes great influence on endurance of weld metal. When the Mn content <0.05%, the endurance of EN10028-2 16Mo3 chromium molybdenum alloy steel plates is rather high. When Mn content >3%, the 16Mo3 vessel steel become very brittle. And when the Mn content is 0.6 ~ 1.8%, the 16Mo3 weld metal has rather high strength and endurance.
