Is ASTM A106 Gr.B steel pipe equal to ASME SA106 Gr.B steel pipe

ASTM A106 Gr.B steel pipe and ASME SA106 Gr.B steel pipe are seamless carbon steel pipes for high-temperature service. A106 Gr.B is equivalent material to SA106 Gr.B. But they are not totally the same.

Please note that ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), is not in agreement with ASME regarding the specifications for A106/SA106 Gr.B steel pipe. ASTM A106 Gr.B steel pipe and ASME SA106 Gr.B steel pipe now have different specification ranges for acceptable proportions of Manganese.
