BBN News: 2019 Zhengzhou International Marathon Held Oct 13

 On the morning of October 13, 2019 “Bank of Zhengzhou Cup” or 2019 Zhengzhou International Marathon gave opening shoots in the Ruyi Lake, CBD ,Zhengdong New District. This event was the “Running China” series of activities for the 70th anniversary of the Fouding of the People’s Republic of China. There were 26000 participants from 32 countries and regions including China, the United States, Italy, Russia, Spain, Ethiopia, and Kenya to witness the vicissitudes of “International Zhegnzhou".

In the fierce competition, the Africa players once again showed their super strength and won the men’s and women’s full marathon championships. Among them, the No. 108 player ZEWUDU HAILU BEKELE from Ethiopia won the men’s full-marathon by 2 hours, 12 minutes and 34 seconds, and the the No. 204 player ALEMAZ TILAHUN GEBRE from Ethiopia won the women's championship in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 41 seconds. The Chinese player Liu Hongliang won the men’s half-marathon championship by 1 hour, 09 minutes and 21 seconds, and the Chinese player Yin Xiaoyu won the women’s half-marathon championship by 1 hour, 21 minutes and 13 seconds.


The second Zhengzhou International Marathon, with the theme of “International City Zhengzhou, World Running ” and the slogan “'Zheng' is on the move', integrated the spirit of patriotism and struggle to show the world the vitality of Zhengzhou City and the positive spirit of the Zhengzhou people.
