Tube sheet surface roughness control methods

Material Pre-treatment: Before machining the tube sheet, high-purity steel should be selected and annealed to reduce hardness and improve plasticity. Surface cleaning involves shot blasting and pickling processes to thoroughly remove scale and rust, ensuring a smooth surface for subsequent processing and preventing impurities from causing surface defects.

Precision Machining Process: A graded, progressive process is used, gradually reducing roughness from rough grinding to fine grinding. During the fine grinding stage, diamond grinding wheels are used, controlling the rotational speed and feed rate to prevent surface burning or waviness. Cutting parameters are optimized to ensure a smooth and uniform tube sheet surface.

Polishing and Inspection: During the fine polishing stage, soft polishing wheels and fine-grained abrasives are used for unidirectional polishing along the axial direction. Surface roughness is regularly inspected, and the process is adjusted accordingly. After polishing, the surface is thoroughly cleaned to remove residues, ensuring that the tube sheet surface quality meets the requirements.
