Introduction to 25CrMo4 alloy steel plate

25CrMo4 alloy steel is used for manufacturing high-pressure pipes and various fasteners, as well as higher grade carburized parts such as gears, shafts, etc., working in non corrosive media and media with a working temperature below 250℃ and containing a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen.

Chemical composition of 25CrMo4 alloy steel:
Carbon C: 0.22-0.29, silicon Si: 0.10-0.40, manganese Mn: 0.60-0.90, sulfur S: allowable residual content ≤ 0.035, phosphorus P: allowable residual content ≤ 0.035, chromium Cr: 0.90-1.20, nickel Ni: allowable residual content ≤ 0.030, copper Cu: allowable residual content ≤ 0.10, molybdenum Mo: 0.15-0.30.

25CrMo4 steel plate has high hardenability, no temper brittleness, and excellent weldability, good machinability and cold strain plasticity. 25CrMo4 steel is generally used in carburized or quenched conditions. 25CrMo4 alloy steel is delivered in a heat treated normalized, annealed, or high-temperature tempered or non heat treated state, and the delivery status should be specified in the contract.
