Corrosion principle of 316L stainless steel plate

If the surface of 316L stainless steel plate contains dust or other metal particles, in humid air, the condensate between the attachment and 316L stainless steel plate is connected into a microcell, and will lead to electrochemical reaction, and the protective film on surface of 316L stainless steel plate is destroyed. It is called electrochemical corrosion.

2.316L stainless steel plate surface adhered to organic juice (such as melon, vegetable, noodle soup, sputum, etc.), in the presence of water and oxygen, it will generate organic acid, and it will make corrosion of 316L stainless steel plate.

3. The surface of 316L stainless steel plate contains acid, alkali and salt substances (such as alkaline water and lime water splashing), which cause local corrosion.

4. In polluted air (such as atmosphere containing a large number of sulfides, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide), when encountering condensate, it will form sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid liquid point, causing chemical corrosion of 316L stainless steel plate .
