ASTM A387 grade 11 class 2 is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate designed specifically for high-temperature pressure vessels, following the ASTM A387/A387M standard. It contains 1.00% -1.50% chromium and 0.45% -0.65% molybdenum, and has excellent creep resistance and corrosion resistance, suitable for medium temperature environments of 350-480 ℃.
A387 grade 11 class 2 steel plate is delivered in a normalized and tempered state, with a minimum tempering temperature of 620 ℃, tensile strength ≥ 440MPa, yield strength ≥ 295MPa, and impact energy ≥ 94J. Compared to the Cl1 category, Cl2 obtains higher strength through stricter heat treatment processes and is commonly used in key equipment such as reactors and heat exchangers.
ASTM A387 grade 11 class 2 alloy steel plates are mainly used in the petrochemical and power fields, such as hydrogenation reactors, boiler drums, etc., the corresponding domestic grade is 14Cr1MoR. Its resistance to hydrogen corrosion and low temper brittleness make it outstanding in hydrogen environments.
