ASTM A387 grade 11 class 1 boiler and pressure vessel steel plate

ASTM A387 grade 11 class 1 is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate designed specifically for high-temperature pressure vessels, following the ASTM/A387M standard. A387 grade 11 class 1 steel contains 1.00% -1.50% chromium and 0.45% -0.65% molybdenum, and has excellent resistance to hydrogen corrosion and oxidation, suitable for medium temperature environments of 350-480 ℃.

A387 grade 11 class 1 steel plate is delivered in a normalized or annealed state, with a yield strength of ≥ 310MPa, a tensile strength of 515-690MPa, and an impact energy of ≥ 94J. Compared to the Cl2 category, Cl1 places more emphasis on material purity and flaw detection requirements, and is suitable for equipment such as boiler drums and reactors with higher safety requirements.

ASTM A387 grade 11 class 1 boiler and pressure vessel steel plates are mainly used in the petrochemical industry, such as hydrogenation reactors, synthesis towers, etc., the corresponding domestic grade is 14Cr1MoR. Its good weldability and low temper brittleness make it the preferred material in hydrogen environments.
