According to the statistics released by the Taiwanese Ministry of Finance, in April 2013, Taiwan's export value of iron and steeland articles made from iron and steel amounted to USD 1.45 billion, decreasing by 8.2% compared to the same month of 2012 and down 9.3% MoM.
In April, Taiwan's import value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel was USD 1 billion, falling 8.5% compared to April 2012.
In the first four months of this year, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel decreased by 5.7% from the same period last year, amounting to USD 5.8 billion.
Meanwhile, in the first four months of 2013 Taiwan's import value for the products in question decreased by 2.6% compared to the same period of last year to USD 4.1 billion.
