April China exported 6.319 million tons of steel

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs on May 7th, 2020, China exported 6.319 million tons of steel products in April 2020, a decrease of 157,000 tons from the previous month, a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%; China's cumulative export of steel products from January to April was 20.601 million tons, a year-on-year decrease 11.7%.

In April, China imported 1.006 million tons of steel, a decrease of 131,000 tons from the previous month, an increase of 0.6% year-on-year. From January to April, China imported 4.184 million tons of steel, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year.

In April, China imported 95.712 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, an increase of 9.799 million tons from the previous month, an increase of 18.5% year-on-year. From January to April, China imported 35.297 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year.
