AR500 armor steel plates achieve a balance between Brinell hardness (477-555 HBW) and tensile strength (500 ksi, 3041.86 Bar) through a high-carbon alloy formula and heat treatment process. Its wear-resistant layer can withstand high-speed bullet impact and fragment penetration. BBN Group has achieved breakthroughs in mass production technology for 76.2 mm thick plates, further validating the material's structural stability at extreme thicknesses.

AR500 material has passed NATO STANAG 4569 standard testing, maintaining its ballistic performance even at -45°C, meeting the service requirements of armored vehicles, armored cash transport vehicles, and other equipment for over 10 years. While its ductility is lower than ordinary steel, the risk of stress cracking can be reduced through optimized welding processes.
