Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel

Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel is developed based on the Cu-Cr-Ni steel. Meawhile, the content of C, Si, Mn and other elements are reasonably configured, and a small amount of Nb, Ti and other trace alloys are added. The control rolling control colling process is adopted to refine particles of Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel. The yield strength of Q450NQR1 steel is above 450MPa, tensile strength is above 600MPa, elongation after fracture is above 21%, impact energy of - 40℃ is more than 60J. The corrosion resistance index I of Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel is greater than 6.0, and the value J is greater than 1.0, which all meet the requirements of the standard.

The results of salt spray corrosion test and cyclic immersion corrosion test show that the atmospheric corrosion resistance of Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel is better than that of Q345GNHL and carbon steel Q235B. The welding test results show that Q450NQR1 high strength weathering steel has good weldability.
