ASTM A387 pressure vessel steel plate

ASTM A387 is a chromium molybdenum alloy pressure vessel steel plate standard developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials, specifically designed for high temperature and high pressure conditions, covering multiple grades such as Gr11/22/91. The typical composition is Cr 1-9%, Mo 0.5-1%, and the tensile strength is 515-690MPa achieved through normalizing and tempering heat treatment. ASTM A387 pressure vessel steel plate is suitable for petrochemical equipment such as synthetic ammonia reactors and hydrogenation units.

ASTM A387 pressure vessel steel plate needs to undergo vacuum degassing smelting control [H] ≤ 2ppm, and CL2 level requires -20 ℃ impact energy ≥ 60J. The corresponding domestic grades include 15CrMoR (Gr11) and 12Cr2Mo1R (Gr22), which require ultrasonic testing and simulated post weld heat treatment according to ASME standards.
