ASTM A387 Gr 2 is a medium temperature hydrogen resistant chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate, mainly used for high-temperature and high-pressure equipment such as refining hydrogenation reactors and coal chemical gasifiers. Its typical composition is Cr content of 1.00% -1.50%, Mo content of 0.45% -0.65%. Stable bainite structure is obtained through normalizing and tempering treatment, and the working temperature can reach 550 ℃.
A387 Gr 2 material maintains a high temperature strength of ≥ 275MPa at 540 ℃ and has excellent resistance to hydrogen induced cracking (HIC). The corresponding domestic grade is 15CrMoR, which requires 100% ultrasonic testing and strict heat treatment control according to ASME standards.
