Brief introduction of Q420HD nuclear power steel

Q420HD carbon steel for nuclear power plants, used in chemical and nuclear industries. Q420HD is read as Q420 nuclear steel, Q is the acronym for yield, 420 is the yield value, and HD is the acronym for nuclear. Q420HD nuclear power steel executive standard: GB 30814.

Q420HD nuclear power steel chemical composition:

Remarks for ingredients: when the thickness of the steel plate is greater than 65mm, the Mn content can be increased to 1.6 at the maximum; Nb+V≤0.08; when adding aluminum to refine grains, Als≥0.015 or Alt≥0.02. When adding Nb, V, Ti and other alloys element, the lower limit of Al content is not required.
