ASTM 321 stainless steel is austenitic chromium-nickel alloy with chromium (17-19%) and 12% nickel. By adding the titanium, it balances out the impacts of intergranular erosion. ASTM 321 stainless steel can be used in high temperature environment upto 900° C. Therefore, ASTM 321 stainless steel has specific applications in aerospace and chemical industry.
